How did Hull trawlermen help defeat the German U-boats? What was life like for a cavalryman in Egypt and Palestine? How did farmers continue production when their workforce was away at war? How did children contribute to the war effort?
These resources focus on the impact of the First World War on people from Hull, North Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire. Students can investigate how men, women and children experienced their war through the unique collections held in the Humber region’s museums and archives. The resources are organised into seven themes which support creative enquiry learning across different key stages.
