1931 National Archives Document | Noah Din

Archive document from 1931 confirming that Noah Din had been issued with a certificate of nationality. Mr. Din originated from the then British colony of India and this document highlights the kinds of alliances and institutions emerging at Britain during this time, as it mentions his work as a cook in a Chinese owned Asiatic Boarding House. Noah Din would not have been subject to the ‘1925 Coloured Seamen’s Order’ as he was not classed as a sailor.
