Frozen River Wharfe at Otley, 1920s
People standing, playing and skating on the frozen River Wharfe, taken roughly from Manor Parade Gardens (we think!) in the 1920s. You can see the Otley stone bridge.
What are people wearing and doing? How deep is the snow? If the river froze, what would you do? Can you see where the riverbank would be usually? How many people are there? There are lads in shorts… brrrr….!
