Map of Africa Printed Between 1544-52

Woodcut map of Africa from the British Museum collection. It was probably printed by Petri in Basel, Switzerland in 1544-52 for a book by Sebastian Münster, called 'Cosmographia'.

It is quite naively cut. What does it tell us about how people viewed Africa in the Tudor period? Which parts are emphasised? How is this different, or similar, to what we know now?
