The Dome WW1 Hospital, Brighton
Many large buildings were converted to hospitals during the war, to treat injured soldiers, including the Dome in Brighton, East Sussex. The Dome Hospital was specifically for Indian troops needing medical attention.
The original caption for this photograph reads: The Dome Hospital in Brighton, showing some of the 689 beds in the whole hospital. These beautiful seaside palaces have been converted into hospitals for Indian troops, and are fitted with every modern convenience.
