Many of the objects in our collection are photographed so they can be accessed digitally by the public.

When taking photographs of objects for the public to see we want to make sure there is as much detail as possible.

This is important as the object image can then be saved on a database and used by curators for research purposes.

To take good quality photographs we will use special equipment. We also need to think very carefully about things like light and shadow as well as background for our photographs to make sure they are as clear as possible.
